OUR PACK

Pack 577 serves kindergarten through 5th grade boys and girls with a fun and active program. The scouts learn, build, and explore with their friends while advancing through the Scouting program.

Our pack was founded in 1962 at Thomas Fitzwater Elementary School (TFES) in the Upper Dublin School District, and we're still there today! We are part of the Baden-Powell District of the Cradle of Liberty Council, BSA and we're chartered by the Sunny Willow Swim Club.

The Pack (K-5) meets monthly at 7:00pm on a Thursday and each den (grade-level) meets 2-3 times a month, also on Thursdays usually. We're a family Pack, so siblings are welcome at all events.

As a Pack we go camping twice a year in October and May. We also do a yearly indoor sleep-over at places like The Academy of Natural Sciences, The Battleship New Jersey, or The Lancaster Science Center.

We participate in community service projects throughout the year. We walk in Ambler's Holiday Parade and Oreland's 4th of July Parade. We present the colors at a Trenton Thunder game.

Each year the scouts build a rubber-band powered rocket for the Space Derby, a boat for the Raingutter Regatta, and of course a car for the Pinewood Derby!
